Plain Bread

Step.1 - Mix well 2 c of warm water with 1 sachet of yeast  

2- Add 2c of plain flour 

• 1tsp of salt 
• 2 Tsp of sugar 
• ½ c of oil 
• 3 mix well and leave for 20 mins before bake 18oc 

Kick ball

Today we played kickball,So you need teams to play this game,After when you put two teams you need to decide which team is going to field and which team whos going to kick the ball, Kickball is just like baseball but the only thing is that you have to kick the ball but not bating it, For me this game was kind of fun because you get to run around and you get to have fun with your friends, I will definitely tell other people to play this fun game, Image result for kickball

Blogging our experience

In the past few weeks when I was in PE class I think I am in level 4 because I take care of the equipment and for other people, The things that I need to work on is to take everything that I learnt in PE and to put it into different subjects,I will try and improve by putting stuff that I learnt from PE like respect and caring into other people in different classes even out of school as well. The most important part is to show other people your respect to them and that you care about that.

Chiken curry with rice

Today me and my partner did Chicken and curry and rice, the ingredients that we used are :

Chicken Curry: 

Step 1: Dice Onion 

- Dice garlic 

- Fry onion, garlic,3Tsp 

of curry for 7 minutes.

Add the chicken ( diced into cubes and the potatoes,

add small amount of water,

add vegetable, coconut cream.

Serve it with rice to have a nice and delightful meal.

Today I and my Partner cooked burgers for our double period's ingredients are :

- Mix mince, Onion, Salt, pepper,1 egg, bread crumbs

- make 2 balls of mince and flat it down with your hand palm

- Fry and ready your burger

Pan Cakes

Me and my Partner was cooking Pancakes here is some of the Ingredients:
Step 1: 1 1/2
- 1/2 c of sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 - mix well and fry 6 cakes

Cake Competition - Measurement - Math

Cake Competition

Tamaki College Food Technology students will be making cakes for a baking competition.

The base of the tins the cakes can be baked in is the same size as an A4 sheet of paper. The maximum height of the cake is 20cm. The top surface of the cake must be covered in icing.

Your task is to design a cake on Tinkercad (assume measurements in cm) that has up to two tiers. The bottom tier must have a rectangular base and the second tier can be a shape of your choice.

For each tier

1. Find the volume of the cake.
2. Find the area of the cake that will be iced.

The entire cake will be shared in a food tech class. Make reasonable assumptions to estimate how much cake each student will get (give your answer in cm3).

Diameter = 3

Radius = 3/2

= 3 x 3/2 

= 4.5 

SA= Surface area 

= 2 TTr2 + 2ttrh .

The past few week we were practising how to do a finger joint,For me i didn't do well i caked it like how many times,It was hard the first time but went it got to the 2nd time i got the conferdent of doing it.

The fight to keep kauri dieback out of warkworth's

Our kauri tree is going to die because of us,Ray Jensen said that the disease is going around our perouse trees that had been here for ages even when Maori people stood ground in Aotearoa - New Zealand.Ray Jensen said that lots of buses comes here to bring people who want to see the  Kauri tree,Because the other reserves a closed off due to kauri dieback.And even auckland council has closed track in the waitakere range where one-in-five kauri are infected.

Warkworth-based MP Jenny Marcroft,New Zealand first’s conservation spokesperson says the response to kauri dieback has been lacking over the past decade.

An Auckland iwi is planning to launch a new treaty claim over the government “failure” to stop the spread of kauri dieback.

I agree with the Auckland iwi,they should launch a new treaty to claim over the government failure.Because the government haven’t did anything to solve the problem and they should work harder how to solve this problem.

How does a bill turn into an act

How dose a bill turn into an act - A bill is like a draft copy law only if you want to make is as are law.But it must have to go through 3 different stage before it become a law.So the first stage is that you need to introduce it to the government.And if you past all 3 of those stage and the government likes that law they need to sign the form to accept it.

Plastic bags bans by: Lanzie & David & Aaron

Today I read on an article on the government decision to ban plastic bags,I agree that labour should ban plastic bag because it might ruin our environment.The impact is going to be huge to some people,if you don't know some people use plastic bag as a rubbish bin.

Bake Bean Bread Cases - cooking class Lomio & Lanzie

today me and my partner Lomi made bake bean bread cases today in cooking class we had to do the ingredients right so we don't have to mess it up... so the ingredients are:

1- Cut the crust of the bread (12 bread each table )
- Base onto muffin tray
-Fill up with 1 TBSP of bake beans and top up with cheese
- bake 180 for 15 min

Lomio & Lanzie - Cooking Chocolate muffins

Today me and my partner cooked chocolate muffins we had to pull all out our equipment to make the muffins - the ingredients were: 

11/2 c of self raising flour
1/2 c of sugar
1/2 c of milk, oil
1 egg
1/4 c of cocoa, chocolate chips
1 tsp of vanilla essence
then we had to mix all of it together
then we had to put it into the muffin tray but even
And then we put it to the oven for 15 min

Today we were cooking skish with my friend is was so easy to make but some of them was hard to do here is a image of our design i hope you like it.

What i need to work on: I need to don’t rush it and take it slow every time you cook before i do a mistake. I need to listen to the instruction before i cook the meal.

Banana Muffins By Lanzie Aaron Leon

Today in our cooking class we were making Banana muffin it was pretty hard  when i was doing most of the stuff by myself because there was a new student who was in my group.Here is the ingredients

Step: 1     get 1 ½ cup of S.R Flour

• ½ c of milk
• ½ c of oil,1 tsp of cinnamon  
• 1 egg
• ½ cup of sugar
• 2. Mix well and serve into 12 muffins

Today in cooking class on Tuesday the 22nd of may we made Quiche my partner was a way today so i went with leon it was kind of easy but i got there here is some the ingredients. 2.Cut the pastry into 9 pastry of round pastry Paste onto the muffin tray 3.-add ham & cheese 4. Bake 1800 c for 15 min Here is a image of our Quiche

Tokelau

I am feeling really happy that i am going back to Tokelau to see my family and friends.It is cool to go back to my old island and see some changes that they have done for the last few years.I heard from some people said  that Tokelau is changed and it’s is better than before.But i didn’t believe them at all so i wanted to go to Tokelau and check it’s for myself.

When i got  there my dad and Mum were waiting for me.They were so  happy to see me i also saw my little brother my sisters and my uncle.It was a long trip to New Zealand to Samoa it took me 3 hours & 55m and then i had to book another boat to go to tokelau it took me 24 or 36 hours to get there.

When i got out from the boat i saw lots of cool stuff around the place i saw new Building’s that i have never seen before. I saw a police woman walking around the place.Then i realised that the law was changed in Tokelau that Woman was allowed to get a Job as a police officer and to lead people where to go and what is good or bad.  

I have also heard from my mum and dad that they have electricity now so they can stay up and watch t.v and charge there new phones.I have also heard from my mum and dad that they build a house on steal pools to stop floods running there house and other things.

They build walls to stop floods from cruising there food and trees.And the other reason that i wanted to go to tokelau is to help my mum and dad to change our place make it nice and spotless

Today in cooking class we did Chocolate muffin the first thing that we did was putting our bag
in the hanger after that we washed our hands.
My partner was away today so i went with Olivia because she didn’t have a partner.
This is the Materials that we use it was a
Palette knife a Measuring cups and a mixing bowl and a cupcake maker.
This is the Skills of the week is to Follow the steps
Learn how to read the Ingredients and How to Measure the ingredients.

This is the Ingredients

Step 1: Mix Together

1. 1 ½  of SR flour 2) ½ c of sugar

    3) 1 egg) 4/13 c of cocoa 5) ½ cup of chx

    6) ½ c milk , 1 tsp vanilla essence  

    7) - ½ c of oil

2) mix well and scoop into the muffin tray

3) Bake for 15 mins 1800c.

Cooking class

In cooking class we were making pan cakes my partner was suppose to be with Joseph but Tamati went with him because he didn't have his partner with him because he was away so i went with Pulotu. We did a mistake with the flour and the egg because Pulotu didn't  put engoth flower so i told Pulotu to boil the oil so i went and did. 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 cup of milk after that Pulotu crack the egg to the flour and put all of the milk together and whisk it.

The first pan cake that we did it wrong and the the 2nd time with almost got it right but when it was the 3 one we got it right.
